Excited little people

(so my computer quit responding right before I posted this and I thought it was lost. Just found it...)

I woke up this morning to a little boy whispering in my ear, "I'm so excited, you know why? Because I get to go to Idaho today!!". Actually we won't make it to Idaho until probably Tuesday, but we fly into SLC late tonight and he will get to see all his Utah cousins.

Jaden is so excited to see his cousins he can hardly stand it.

Later this morning he said, "But don't call my cousins nerds, because they will call you a nerd back!!". Trevor always calls Kade and Myleigh a nerd.

Lots has been going on since I posted last. We are crazy busy which means my blog gets left lonely. Besides the usual craziness with two kids, I've been working a lot, Phoebe had puppies, tee-ball games, swim lessons,... you get the idea.

Last Sunday, Phoebe had 4 beautiful babies!!! Two boys and two girls. Pictures to come soon. Jaden named both of the boys Walen, and one of the girls Pupcake. The other girl is un-named, but let me tell you a secret... I think we might keep her. Shhhh!!! But we love all of her babies and are glad that they are all healthy, and spoiled rotten. I don't think I've met a Shih Tzu that wasn't though. They have a unique ability to get themselves spoiled beyond any normal dog.

Jaden had his last tee-ball game today, and they presented them with trophies last night. It was so cute! Pictures to come soon for that too. It's just so funny to watch those games!

All in less than 10min with Mr. Random...

Jaden gets into these "random question asking episodes". Yesterday when he got into it I happened to be on the computer, so I typed some of it up. He seriously goes from one question to the next in seconds. He's so observant and remembers everything, and asks a million questions about it all later. I need to do this more often, it's funny...

How do you load boats in the water? Do you put the trailer in the water, and get in the boat?

How does water get in the rivers?

Do you know what collects the rain water? A NOW. It’s sand at the bottom of the river, but the NOW collects all the rain water. I saw that on the way to Julie’s house. It’s yellow and it collects all the rain water that has tentacles (chemicals). (he meant a canal)

How come there’s a word called “Kick”?

Do you know what happened on Toy Story? Buzz was saying this “I think about the word called Space Ranger”. And Woody says, “I was thinking about a word that I can’t say, because there’s preschool toys around”.

What happens if it rains and it washes the bricks away?

Mom, how come you wanted tulips mom? How come you wanted them in your house? (I have some silk tulips).

Mom, how come there’s a sharp side right here on the counter, but not right here? (there’s a sharp corner on the edge of the counter against the fridge, but the outer side is rounded)

Mom, how come we only have playstation 2 mom? How come we wanted only playstation 2?

Mom, how come your new key has a ‘Mishubishi’ *shiny* thing? (the logo is silver)

It's Tee-ball Time!!!

Jaden had his 2nd Tee-ball game last Saturday (we got rained-out today). It was quite entertaining!! He is the smallest on his team, but he can still keep up with most of them. :)

So there's like 12 kids on his team= 12 kids in the in-field= funny!!

He had a hard time in the first inning. He was in left field and there wasn't a lot of action...
Yep, he was tapping his hat in boredom.

And then when there WAS action going on, he wasn't paying attention...

And this is how he survived the end of the first inning... (don't worry, he wasn't the only one)

(now, why can't he be like that at home? Obedient, quiet. It's hard for him, it's just not in his nature, but look, he CAN do it!!)

It was all action from then on out. This kid can hit!!! He got a pretty good hold of the ball all 3 times he was up to bat. Everyone cheered when he hit.

Here he is taking his first run to home plate and some action in the out-field.

Batter up...... a high-five running for home.... and what do I do now that I'm at home plate??

He kept scratching, I had to take a pic to show him that everyone can see... he's really going for that one...

And probably our favorite snapshot....
Here's a sneak peak at the action....

A couple weeks ago Jaden took me on a date. He was SO cute!! Held my hand, opened the door... yep I'm startin him out early. Well this was our date night, and of course he can't smile for a normal picture, so I joined him and we took a goofy one...

We met up with some friends and saw "UP". It was really cute.

The Results!!!

Everyone voted....

Everyone was wrong (even Trevor) ...

...My mischief girl made a mess with......

BABY FORMULA
Yup. We had some friends over and KynnLee got into their diaper bag (she has NO shame!) and spilled the baby formula everywhere.
I realize this threw everyone off because she doesn't drink formula anymore. I'm glad it wasn't my makeup though, I'd say that's more expensive than formula.

This-n-That, Here-and-There

I just have a few misc. things that I've taken pictures of and haven't blogged about yet. So here goes...

We went swimming with some friends on Memorial Day after the fantastic ward picnic (...no comment...). I got this little bikini for KynnLee at the Gap Clearance Outlet in Cincinnati for $.99 each piece. You can't look at it and not smile! Yes, I know, it's very immodest, but I couldn't help it...

The funniest thing was when she had a shirt on over the swimsuit... I can't believe I didn't get a picture of that! You can imagine. And yes, there's some more feet pictures for all my feet-lovin friends. ;)

The monkey girl has been climbing on the table non-stop. Well, she got stuck this time, and I'm such a mean mom I let her cry while I got the camera...

This might be my new favorite 'do!!! I absolutely LOVED it!! I'm really quite disappointed that we won't be able to do it very often... it took way too long to do on a moving target (she's SOOO wiggly!), and her hair is not quite long enough, she pulled out a couple of the top ponies out of the braid. So sad because it was TO DIE FOR!! I just have to keep reminding myself to be grateful that my 15month old baby has enough hair to play with and braid and french braid. BreAna hardly had peach fuzz at this age (sorry BreAna, you know I love you!! We used to sing the "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Bear" to you). Patience. It will keep growing.

We went to Kentucky last weekend to give the losers renters the boot. We stayed with lean-mean-Christine (yeah, well she calls me Karieola Hay-ness) and this was our "Bed and Breakfast" suite...

Isn't that such a cute room? I was around when she started working on it and putting ideas together. This lady is AMAZING! I'm telling you. Yard sale stuff refurbished to look like it was from Pottery Barn. Pulling fantastic ideas out from her own creative little self. Yeah, she's the preschool teacher too. Jaden always came home with the cutest little projects, he knew the whole Pledge of Allegiance (Ok, who can tell me how to upload an mp3 to the blog?) at 3 yrs old... I'll just stop there. Oh, but did I mention that she always has a sense of humor?

Honestly, she cracks me up.

The rest of the trip was less than "Bed and Breakfast-y". We went to clean our house and they left a bunch of misc. junk for us to take care of (which filled the dumpster... sorry neighbors!), I don't think they had vacuumed in months to say the least. But it could have been much worse. We got it all clean and shiny before we left for home on Sunday afternoon. I just wish we could take our master bedroom and bathroom with us. Or even just Jaden's bathroom, it's so much bigger than ours now. Downgrading is not cool.

And last but not least. When I caught this little mischief-girl the first thing that came to mind was a VERY similar picture on a friend's blog. So I'm going to copy Rhonda and have you all vote on what you think KynnLee got into. Here's your choices...

A. Baby Powder
B. Flour
C. Baby Formula
D. Makeup
Look at that face! She has no shame. "What? This is an every-day thing. What's the big deal?"
Leave me a comment with your vote, or vote in the box at the top right of the blog. :o) Happy voting!!

Word of the day...

KynnLee's word of the day:

"Good Girl"

Ok, that's 2 words.

I'm not so sure how I feel about having a little girl that likes to talk. At her 15 month appointment a couple weeks ago, the Dr. said that 10-15 words is average for her age. Trevor and I counted over 30 just off the top of our heads, and that was just the words she says all the time.

I think we're in trouble. Can't wait for the teenage years...

Preston's Hope Playground

Would you look at this ADORABLE park?? My friend Lindsey and I had the wicked-cool idea to take the kiddos, the hubbies, and the VIPER to this park!! OH MY GOSH it was TO DIE FOR! I think we were there for like 3 hours, totally entertaining… for us all. We'll have to do it again.
(DISCLAIMER: you'll have to excuse my bad hair day. Looks like I just rolled out of bed... which might have been the case...)

You all know that Jaden wants to be a Vampire, a Wizard, a doptor (doctor), and a Fireman when he grows up, right? Today Jaden said, "Mom, you know who is going to be the BOSS fireman when I grow up??? ME! I'm going to be the boss." He's so random, he said that out of nowhere.

I think he's already the boss most days around here...

So anyway, he loved the Fire Station. When you walk inside the building it starts talking and reinacting (is that a word?) a fire emergency. It kinda freaked him out at first... if you can't tell.

This little boy (in the first pic) was following them around for like the first 20min we were there. Other random kids would follow them for a bit too. It was so funny!
KynnLee and Kylee are cute little friends. The other day Jaden had a play cell phone and gave it to KynnLee and said, "Here KynnLee, it's Kylee, she wants to talk to you". He's so funny.

I had to get pics of the Jeep for my Jeep-lovin sister, who just got back from Moab. So, here you go Laurie!!

Is that not the cutest thing you've ever seen??

And now for the mommy fun...
