Watch out Sizemore!!

... here comes JADEN!

We took advantage of the nice weather the other day (daddy was studying) and went to the park to teach the Jaden-boy the basics of baseball. Tee ball starts in a couple weeks and I don't want my kiddo to be the one that hits the ball and runs to 3rd base. =)

He dressed himself appropriately for baseball, (goggles and unmatching shoes are necessary for baseball, didn't you know?) and we jumped in the bike trailer and rode down to the park. He did really good. I was pitching to him, and when he connected he could smack them outta there! I was actually scared when he got a hit. Of course every time he got a hit it was "HOME RUN!" and he'd take off running. We had fun, we're excited for tee-ball!

KynnKynn just walked around the field, stepped in the mud when she was trying to chase the ball, and watched some guys playing soccer, she loved watching the ball go way up in the air and across the field. She got upset when she didn't get her turn to pitch to Jaden. She also posed for a few pics...

The park close by is really 3 parks in one. You go down the hill to get to the 2nd one, and down another hill to get to the 3rd one. I had the brilliant idea of going all the way to the bottom, to get a work-out. Once we get down there, we gotta go up!! It was TOUGH! I had to get off and stop for a minute halfway up the 2nd hill. It's a STEEP one!! I felt like I was floating when we got on level ground. WHEW!!!
Here's some favorite pics of the ride. That boy just can't leave her alone sometimes!!

EVERYBODY was thirsty when we got home. Yeah, that hill was tough on those little riders... "Mom, why are we stopping??... GO GO GO!".
I'm glad I could grace you all with my beat-red face. It was a good work-out though, I was glad I did it...after I got home that is.

Stay tuned for the Hair blog. I was going to post it tonight, but it's past my bedtime.
Goodnight.

Girls Rule!!

Ok, I can't believe I forgot to post this. I just remembered when I uploaded the pics~

We've been playing games with a group of friends every now and then and the girls always lose at Ultimate Outburst. Well, Miss Dina had a birthday, so we got to play games again and...

THE GIRLS FINALLY WON OUTBURST!! Can I get a "Wooot wooot"!! Raise the roof!!
I had to take a pic when we were in the lead, and the guys quickly packed up the game before I could get the winning shot. That's ok, I don't need a picture to prove it, or rub it in!!
The best part is that they lost on the 10 Commandments!!! They said they could name 8 of them, and they couldn't!! WAHOO! That totally makes up for last time when Trevor's winning "Earthquake" rolled off his tongue to win the game as the last grain of salt fell in the timer. They had just been getting lucky with their easy cards...

Oooohhhhh, you'll have to excuse the sore losers. Trevor is so naughty!!
I had to post a few of the details for Julie, she was so disappointed she missed it. No worries Jules, we'll do it again!! :o)~
I had lots of other stuff to post tonight, but I watched Dancing With the Stars instead (SO awesome!!), and now it's past my bedtime.
Good night.

better late than never...

Ok, the rest of the Kentucky pictures. It just takes so long to upload all the pics, so I put it off. But since I'm not feeling 100% today, it gave me the opportunity to finish. =)

So, yeah, after the Summitt we stayed at Elizabeth's house. The kids played, we went to church on Sunday... it was SO good to see everybody. I don't know how many excited "Are you moving back?" comments I got. I wish I could answer YES! Everybody is so sweet there.

We had a fantastic Sunday dinner at Elizabeth's and she invited her/my friend Kim, one of my Canadian friends, so we could catch up.

(...more bars in more places....)

After dinner the kids were dinking around with this microphone that dubbs your singing into the radio.

Then I hear Elizabeth say, "Oh my gosh, is he singing Applebottom Jeans?!?".

Yes, he was. VERY few songs this kid knows, and Applebottom Jeans is one of them. Seriously, won't sing at Primary, just really has never been into singing... can't say I don't know where he gets it...

For whatever reason, KynnLee thought Luke was pretty cool that night. I'm not exactly sure why, because as you can see, he just kind of ignored her. I thought it was cute, she's such a sweet baby.

And the last and final day was spent at the Zoo with Connor, the Zoo expert. Seriously, that kid knows more about animals than most adults. In fact, he got upset because Jaden called the Gorilla a Monkey. Becky and I were cracking up! I should have got pics of Becky and Jaxon too, he's a cute little guy. These boys are so cute together. Connor was Jaden's first friend in Kentucky, they were best friends right off the bat...

He must have been telling Jaden the proper diet and favorite activities of the orangutan...

We can't make it through the Zoo without a few of these "OOooohhh" faces from KynnKynn. She's so animated!! I love it!

Leave it to my kids to hog the swings...
The boys were funny walking around with their snacks/junk food (cotton candy and popcorn). They were talking to the puma here.
We had a lot of fun. It worked out well to spend some time at the Zoo so we could make the drive home in the evening for the girl.
We'll have to plan another Kentucky trip!!! Dad will come with us this time. We are very sad that we missed Thunder over Louisville last weekend, it should totally be televised world-wide. My family and I watched the firework show on TV last year. I was surprised at how good it looked on TV... but still better in person. We'll have to watch the Derby on TV here in a couple weeks. =)

Friday, and other Jaden events

Last week we went to this Flower Factory here in Parma. Jaden came up to me and said something about getting this thing to put outside like Beeda. I had no idea what he was talking about, and didn't pay much attention to him.

We walked by it again and he almost started freaking out. It was a display of different rod-iron suns.

He said he wanted to get it and put it on our house so we could be like Beeda. My mom has a rod-iron sun on her house. I never even knew Jaden paid any attention to it. I hardly paid any attention to it. He was so excited about it! It would have broken his heart if we didn't get one, so we let him pick one out.

He sat in the car holding it, running his little hands around the rays. Then he says, "Let's name it!!". After a bit of contemplating... "Let's name it Friday!!!".

Have no idea where Friday came from, but at least he chose the best day of the week!!

This first picture is of him taking a picture of Friday with his little digital camera. Then his proud little self showing the world that we have a "Friday". It's like his link to Beeda and Grandpa. Sometimes when we're backing out of the driveway he'll say "Bye Friday!". He's so proud and excited about his little find.

So, the other day, my little man was outside playing and came inside and said, "Mom, I picked a flower for you!!". Isn't that something every mom wants to get from her little boy? I told him that every girl LOVES to get flowers and made a big deal of it. We had to get this tiny vase and put water in it. What a sweet little man!
We've got these little purple flowers growing all around our yard... no worries, he didn't pick a neighbor's flowers!!

I've been teaching him about being a gentleman, and he's been VERY interested ever since the whole Edward thing. He's always said he wanted to be a fireman when he grew up, and now it's "I want to be a vampire when I grow up, and then a fireman, and then a dopter" (doctor). That's fine by me, this little man will be the non-fictional Edward when he grows up!! Watch out ladies!!

And last but not least... I got into bed the other night and somebody was in my spot... well, 2 somebodies were in my spot...
It was hard to take the picture, I couldn't see a darn thing until the camera flashed. But how funny is that?? I guess daddy was hogging the pillow, so he found his own. Daddy is usually famous for hogging the blankets... Anyway, the two snuggle-bugs of the house were snuggling. How cute is that?

KynnKynn's jabbers translated

I just wanted to jot down some of the things KynnLee says at 13 1/2 months. It's just for my own record. You don't want to know what Jaden says at 5 yrs old... some of you already know too much (especially Ashly...).

FYI- for those that don't know, KynnLee has the nick-name KynnKynn because Jaden wanted to be Mr. Incredible for Halloween and he wanted KynnLee to be Jack-Jack/KynnKynn.

Mumma= Momma
Da da= Daddy
Da duh= Jaden
Buh pa= puppy (sounds kind of like Bubba)

You just need a day like this once in a while

Don't you just love the days when you feel like you're super productive??

Today before 11am I had worked out, took Jaden to a Dr. appointment, got groceries and had them all put away (there were a LOT of groceries).

So we took some time to chill and eat lunch, and Jaden did some Hooked on Handwriting before preschool. There's like 100 stop lights on the way to preschool, and they must have known I was on a roll today because they just let me keep rolling!! I swear I had a green light on almost all of them!! It seriously cut off like 5 minutes... even 30 seconds is a wonderful thing when you're in the car with KynnLee...

Isn't it weird how all the small things can just make your day??

And it's sunny and 55 degrees, total opposite of yesterday's snowing and 25.

Then I got to do a little shopping with a friend for a baby shower tomorrow. It's nice to go shopping when our older kids are at preschool.

To top the day off, I come home and there's a package on my front step from the in-laws. It's full of ALL KINDS of Easter goodies!! They always send the best packages.

I think I'll sneak a nap in before I make the preschool run again.... =)

Favorites

I just wanted to jot down some of my favorite things my kids do, usually on a daily basis...

KynnLee comes up to me, motions to my phone and starts dancing.
Translation: Turn the music on your phone so I can dance!!!
That's my girl!!

Jaden knows all about choking because about a year ago he swallowed a bean from his Don't Spill the Beans game. It was pretty traumatic for him. He was scared to do the #2 the next day. Anyhow, he's a pretty good look out for me, if KynnLee puts something in her mouth it's always...
"CHOKING HAZARD!!! SISSY, THAT'S A CHOKING HAZARD!! MOM, SISSY PUT SOMETHING IN HER MOUTH!!!" in a totally frantic tone. Such a good brother... ;)

When Jaden gets cold he says, "get me a blanket, I'm sugaring".

KynnLee often comes up to me and hugs my legs and goes "Oooohhhh" and gives me a pat. Such a little sweetheart!
