Jaden played his last year in T-ball this summer. He's so excited to play coach-pitch next summer. The kid hated hitting the ball off the tee. In fact, he wouldn't practice with the tee at home, we had to pitch it to him. And I tell ya, when that kid connected I was scared for my life! He's a pretty darn good baseball player!
He played really well all summer, but he was in fire in their last game! Way to go Jaden!
Jaden also played Fall soccer. He did much better in the Fall than in the Spring, I think it can be attributed to the orthotics we got for his shoes. He can walk for a longer period of time (like when we go shopping) and he is also running faster and keeping up with the other kids.
Here's Jaden's #1 Cheerleader, she did a good job of keeping track of his water bottle, she was also good at consuming his water bottle....
Soccer was interesting for me. I've never played an actual game of soccer. I have no idea what the rules are, you know it's bad when you don't always know what's going on in a kid's game! It was nice when Trevor was there with me, sometimes he would make the calls before the ref, then I could ask (like an idiot) what it meant. I better get with it because it looks like I'm going to be a soccer mom! I'm so glad Jaden had fun in soccer!
Shog the frog was found in our backyard one night while the kids were out playing. Jaden loved this little guy! They went to the pet store and got him a cute cage and put dirt, sticks, rocks, etc in it. It was pretty cute! We later found out that Shog was actuallly a toad, but Jaden didn't want to change his name to Shoad. :) I gotta admit it was pretty cute.
It was really sad to see Jaden so upset about Shog. I hope there's some way to prepare him for when it's Phoebe's time to go. She is 8 years old and already blind in one eye. He absolutely LOVES Phoebe! And Phoebe is starting to come around to him more, now that he's older. I guess all we can do is enjoy the time that we have! :)
