Random happenings during finals weeks

This round of finals has been a killer. It's been like a whole month of test weeks (just one test week really bites!). Trev has been putting in about 16hrs/day starting from about a week before finals, and all through the TWO-AND-A-HALF-WEEKS of finals. He's had one all-nighter and many, many, many 6am-2am days. 12 more hours and we'll all have a much needed break... but who's counting??? While it is very hard on the whole family, I definitely don't envy Trevor with his nose in a book (or MacBook) for hours on end. I'm very proud of you Trev!!

So, I thought I'd let Trevor know what has been going on around here in the last little bit.

We had to re-inact IHOP's Butterscotch Rocks pancakes...

actual... re-inactment....

Jaden was so excited, he had to get the knife, fork, and spoon. You know, it just wasn't complete. We like to keep breakfast on the healthy side... (don't tell Beeda what he had for breakfast)

Jaden made a "lever" and was so proud of himself (mom too!)...

We have my old car battery in the garage (how are you supposed to dispose of those?). Along with some wood that Jaden ALWAYS has to play with when we go outside. He got Trevor's tackle box for the center, and put the battery on the side. That thing is heavy too! I don't even know how he knows what a lever is, but he sure did a good job!!

This little monkey mastered a new skill. I was in Jaden's room picking up a bit and I stood up to see this sneaky little princess at the top of his slide!! I SO wish I could have caught a pic of that little face!! She was on all four's and had this look of sneaky accomplishment on her face!! We've GOT to make sure to keep his bedroom door shut. This little girl is fearless and that would be a nasty fall.

A view of the whole bed just so you get the idea. (and yes, he is sleeping in it right there!)

And Jaden's bed is not the only place she has practiced these skills...

Gotta have one eye on this little girlie at all times...

or this is what happens...
Jaden left his colored chalk within reach. Good thing that's a pink shirt.
And possibly my favorite moment in the last few weeks was yesterday when my favorite little girl was watching Dancing With the Stars with me. She'd kind of walk around, play, and get into mischief during the judging and all that, but she sat with me during the dances totally in awe, watching their every move, and she would dance, nod her head with the music, and clap!! She LOVED it!! The last time she watched Dancing with me was when she was only a few days old, she would lay on my chest and we'd watch the whole thing together. I'm telling you, this little girl is so PERFECT for me!! We are counting down the days to her first dance class!!

Jaden got some markers from the "Hair-cutting Fairy"... (hey, you gotta do what you gotta do). He thought he would draw on his face to make himself a Pirate...
AAAarrrgg!!
We had the priviledge of having this stranger Trevor home for an evening. This is how it went down...

I caught him snoozin. But it was back to business as usual after a couple of funny pics.

I giggle to myself everytime I see the Apple on Trev's computer. When Jaden first saw it he said, "Why is there a bite out of that Apple?". I need to jot down all the random things he says, it's mind-boggling what he comes up with. I honestly don't know how to answer most of them. He remembers every detail of everything and has to know exactly how it works. "Where does my tongue end? What happens if you stand in the toilet and push the silver thing? Will you end up in the ocean? Where does water go after it goes down the drain? Where do rats live? How come vitamin C fights the bad germs in my body? Why do *you* sit down to go potty? Why does the rain have tentacles (chemicals) in it? What will happen if I get the smokers (car exhaust) in my lungs?"... that doesn't even scratch the surface a single day.

Hopefully the next blog post will be of all the fun things we will get to do with daddy during his 10 day break. It's way past my bedtime, so TTFN.

So much school! Yeah, I don't know how you dispose of a car battery - take it to a Jiffy Lube? Love the pictures!
