Utah/Idaho trip! (part 2)

(slow night at work = catching up on the blog!)

More Jaden and Myleigh chaos. My sisters and I used to climb the walls like this when we were little!! I want to know if she figured this out on her own, or if someone showed her.

Anyone that knows Micalla knows that she always has the hot items. Well, one of the hot items she had this trip was a yellow convertible Beetle. It was fun!! We took my great-Uncle George and aunt Charlotte on a ride. He's 91 1/2 (and counting!), and probably one of the smartest people I know. This retired English professor is sharp as a tack. He will still catch me saying yeah... "what?" he says... "Yes, uncle George". I even had a friend in high school who said she wouldn't say 'yeah' to him, he caught her. The only person I know of that hasn't said 'yeah' to him is Jaden. He was blessed with proper English genes.

We had a birthday party for my dad while we were there. Happy 61st birthday dad!!!

We're trying to fatten-up my dad before he goes in for treatments at the Huntsman Center. We made him eat all his whip cream frosting on his piece of cake. I have to admit it was kind of fun. One night he was craving white cake with chocolate frosting, so Trevor and I chased it down. It's just fun to think outside the box a little bit ;).

More fun out on the river. Oh yeah, for those that might not know, my parents live on the Snake River. That's where all the fun went down. :) I just couldn't help taking a bunch of pictures of my little princess.

I never noticed this picture of KynnLee attempting to jump and NiKyla shaking her finger at her! How funny!!

Would you look at this crazy boy?? He even looks back for a picture. What a wake-boarding-GEEK!! I love Kade, if I have another boy I want him to be just like Kade.

I'd like to say that my skiing skills matched up to those of Kade's, but I'd be sadly lying. Like I said before, it's been years since I've been home during the boating months, and the last time I was there I was on crutches.
I did get up on the second try (although I think I can blame the driver for the first try... slack in the rope). I vaguely remember Mikka saying something about my sunglasses and I assured her I would not wreck and to not worry about it. My confidence took over as I was coming into the dock and I let go of the rope with one hand and ended with just a small flubb, but big enough to make my sunglasses fall off!!! DARN! It was only waste deep where I wrecked and I probably could have found the darn things, but I HATE the feeling of the bottom of the river on my feet. Oh well.

Jaden had his first tube ride with his dad. They were going really slow, I think he might have enjoyed it more if they were at least going fast enough to be on top of the water. He was cool with it until the front of the tube started going under.

In between boating, Kade and Teagan busted out the... well actually, I'm not positive what it was, X-box?? Kade brought his and Teagan brought his, they set it up on two TV's and hooked them together and there were like 6 people playing Halo together. Geeks.

Possibly one of the funnest days for all the kids was the jump slide, that's what they called it anyway. They were out there ALL DAY. We sprayed all of them with sunscreen several times, but they still ended up red. Luckily I think all of them were tan the next day, so the sunscreen must have done some good.

The nice thing about it was I could send KynnLee out there a little bit too. The older kids were so good to watch her and Maycee and take them down the slide. They all slept very well that night!
